Foundation Board Members

Foundation Board Members:

President– Stephen Barry Wzorek, “Barry” is Matthew Wzorek’s father, for whom the Matthew’s Moonlight Foundation was formed. Professionally, Barry is a Senior Manager at Vanguard, where he has worked for more than 20 years. Barry lives in Broomall, PA with his wife, Rebecca (Treasurer of the Board) and their sons Jacob and Dylan.

Vice President – Daniel Horowitz is Matthew Wzorek’s uncle. Daniel currently works as an Analyst for BlackRock. He has been a strong supporter and advocate for fundraising in Matthew’s name. Daniel lives in Glen Mills with his wife, Kate and their son Luke.

Secretary – Samantha Katz and her family are close friends of the Wzorek family. Samantha lives in Havertown with her husband Jason (also a Board member) and their children Sydney and Nate. Samantha is a graduate of Boston University and has spent the past 18 years working in marketing at Aramark.

Treasurer – Rebecca Wzorek is Matthew Wzorek’s mother, for whom the Matthew’s Moonlight Foundation was formed. Rebecca is dedicated to honoring Matthew’s memory by supporting local families who have also experienced the sudden loss of a child or with children who suffer from illness. Rebecca lives in Broomall, PA with her husband, Barry (President of the Board) and their sons Jacob and Dylan.

Media/Marketing– Katie Gray is excited to join the Matthew’s Moonlight board in 2022. A former professor of history, she now is a stay at home mom to her three children. She brings leadership experience from her work with a variety of not-for-profits, including March for the Fallen and several PTOs. Former residents of Delaware county, the Gray family now resides in Puerto Rico.

Members of the Board:

Jonathan Horowitz is Matthew Wzorek’s uncle, for whom the Matthew’s Moonlight Foundation was formed. Jonathan lives in La Habra, California where he is currently writing screenplays for television comedies. He also performs as a stand-up comedian. He shared a very special connection with his nephew and is dedicated to honoring his memory through his work with the foundation.

Jason Katz and his wife, Sam (Secretary of the Board), have been friends of the Wzorek family for many years. Jason is a second- generation Philadelphia-area real estate professional with a background in Education. He is looking forward to helping the Wzorek Family develop and grow the Matthew’s Moonlight Foundation. Jason and Sam live in Havertown, PA with their two children, Sydney and Nate.

Becki Kapelusznik and her husband, Luciano, are long-time friends to the Wzorek family. Becki is a fundraising professional with experience in development, marketing, and public relations. A mother of twin girls, Juliana and Talia, she is actively involved in community endeavors.
